What I DO
I help people change the way they move from the inside out, solve chronic pain, and feel empowered to move with more knowledge and confidence in a variety of disciplines.
As humans, we are uniquely adaptable. The way we move should be too. For that reason, I combine the most useful tools from my background in yoga, Pilates, mobility, strength and conditioning, and posture and respiration therapy to create individual training programs tailored to each clients’ needs. My one-on-one work and group classes are guided by my study of human breathing patterns, pressure management strategies, and natural asymmetries.
I currently see clients in Los Angeles and teach weekly virtual classes through Zoom and YouTube and weekly classes at Equinox. You can also find me on the Forme Life platform. I have been teaching yoga since the age of 19 and have been an avid lifelong learner in numerous movement practices, including vinyasa, ashtanga, restorative, handstanding, Pilates, running, dance, ballet, mobility training, and posture and respiration therapy. I have a nonfiction creative writing degree from Northwestern University with a minor in film studies. I hold a 200 hour yoga certification from Veda Yoga Center, I am trained in classical mat Pilates through Equinox, I am certified as a Functional Range Conditioning movement specialist, and I have studied pelvic and hip dysfunction (Myokinematic Restoration), patterned pubo-sacral dysfunction (Pelvis Restoration), posture and respiration patterns (Postural Respiration), Impingement and Instability, and Forward Locomotor Movement through the Postural Restoration Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska.
A decade of teaching movement has led me to design tailored programs and classes that educate and inspire clients to connect to their breath and body, transcending their perception of what they thought was possible.
“Nora is an incredible teacher! She has an amazing wealth of knowledge and the necessary skills to communicate that knowledge to her students in meaningful ways. I am continuously impressed by the breadth (she teaches a variety of classes and levels) and depth (her understanding of anatomy allows her to explain in detail how to make a pose more accessible for individual students). I highly recommend taking classes with Nora whether you are a total beginner or a well seasoned yogi. On top of being a top notch professional, Nora is a wonderful, kind, and generous human who serves as a gentle and wise guide to all of her students who walk beside her in this crazy journey of life.”
