Through the Same Gate
This week I’m remembering to notice the little things. And I’m using this from Kurt Vonnegut to do so:
“Life is a garden, not a road. We enter and exit through the same gate. Wandering, where we go matters less than what we notice.”
All of my hours of procrastination, of falling down rabbit holes, the time I have spent doing absolutely nothing, the things I do just for fun or to try something new - these are not separate from my life. They are integral to it. They are all ways of wandering, without direction or the need to produce a result. I would not be where I am today without allowing myself to wander aimlessly into the parts of my life that have ultimately created the most joy and fulfillment.
Remember to wander this week and pay attention to the little things you notice along the way.
