What We Share

Folks, I am unwell. I’ve had a rough week, from stepping on a rusty nail and needing an emergency tetanus shot to some asshole throwing his beverage at my car when I cut into his lane.

I’ve been overwhelmed with work and when I’m struggling I don’t often share it or reach out for help. I get stuck in this narrative that my struggle is singular or unique.

This week I’ve been trying to put down the weight of my aloneness and share what’s felt heavy.

Life gets easier when we can lay down our hearts and talk to someone who’s been through it before or find resources to help. But we can’t do that until we put down our narrative that we are alone in this world.

The best things in this life are the things we share: a delicious meal, a hearty laugh, a yoga class, our hearts, and, yes, even our struggles.

That’s what I love most about teaching group classes - we are all sharing an experience together. If you, like me, need a space to put down your aloneness, join me in May for yoga in the garden.

We’re making it happen again! Share your practice with me at the Virginia Robinson Gardens in Beverly Hills.

Join me Saturday, May 21 at 9am for an hour long rejuvenating outdoor yoga class open to all levels.

Built in 1911, the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and occupies an illustrious place in history as the first luxury estate built in Beverly Hills. Located behind the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, the beautiful six-acre property contains a breathtaking display garden, mansion and pool pavilion.
