Life in Movement
In a cruel twist of fate, I was exposed to Covid last week so I didn’t get my beautiful, cleansing Seattle hiking trip. Between Space closing, canceling the Guatemala retreat, and now this, I’m down pretty bad. When I’m feeling really low, I try to remember this from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass:
”We are showered every day with gifts, but they are not meant for us to keep. Their life is in their movement, the inhale and the exhale of our shared breath. Our work and our joy is to pass along the gift and to trust that what we put out into the universe will always come back.”
Life is about flow, revolution, continuation. Keep it circular. For me, feeling closed down comes when I subconsciously believe or feel in my body that that flow of life has stopped. So this week I’m using movement to restart that flow.
Stay safe friends, don’t let covid ruin your well-made plans.
