Use It or Lose It

Joints do what we train them to do. What we don't use, we lose.

Most of us only move within our midrange of motion, because we have the most experience there. In other words, we stay in the comfort zone of our joints.

But growth happens outside of the comfort zone. We need to challenge our joints and muscles by using our end range - this is where the weak tissue lives. This is where the challenge and discomfort of movement lives. This is where you can actually deepen your pigeon pose or improve your shoulder movement.

In order to continuously challenge our joints, I've created a series of mobility classes, each between 10 and 30 minutes long. Over this series, we'll work through neck, spine, shoulders, hips, elbows + knees, wrists + ankles, and hands + feet to explore your range of motion and improve your control over that range in each joint. We will also incorporate yin yoga and self massage throughout the series.

I'll send abbreviated versions of exercises in this newsletter but you can find the full classes by subscribing to my Patreon or purchase the series by reaching out to me via the CONNECT tab on this website.
