Open to Possibility
With the start of this new year, I find myself swinging wildly between two poles: craving radical change in my life and feeling so weighed down by the past 2 years that I can only envision more of the same.
I've found balance by inviting in possibility.
Let me put it this way: when we lay down in savasana, all we are literally doing is laying on the floor; if that's all you expect it to be, then that's all it's going to be.
But if you allow yourself to be open to the possibility that you might have a transformative emotional or spiritual experience, that you might experience deep rest or contentment, it becomes more likely that you will receive that.
Whatever you expect this year to be, that’s what it will be.
If you choose to show up with curiosity, release expectations and the need to control the present, you open yourself up to surprise and delight and growth and change. Just something to think about.
