You and Me

Let me be straight with you: I hate newsletters.

Yes, me, who sends you a newsletter every week. Newsletters are great in theory, but they get lost in the shuffle of the other nine million emails I receive.

So why did I start a newsletter? Why did I start offering free resources this year?

One of my favorite teachers Wini Linguvic captured it perfectly:

“What I wanted to do was provide a constant. Something stable in the middle of the instability of this year.”

Through Instagram, through this newsletter, through my classes, I wanted to figure out ways to keep connecting with you. I wanted to provide the constant for you that my yoga practice has provided for me over the past six years.

My yoga practice has been my source of stability through depression and high stress in college, through my mom's breast cancer, through the loss of most of my work and income over the last year, and through the difficult times to come. Through this newsletter, I hope to be that source of stability for you.

You, reading this newsletter, coming to class, returning to the practice - you being there is why I get to be here. And I could not be more grateful to be here.
